The department conducts lectures for students of all faculties. The following courses are taught: Faculty of Economics: - Economics of an enterprise - Economical evaluation of investments - Planning in an enterprise - Analysis and diagnostics of financial activities of an enterprise - Economics of real estate - Organization of entrepreneurial activities - External Economical activities of an enterprise - Logistics - Social-economical prognosis - Water economy management - Economics of agriculture - Construction Economics - Economics of use of natural resources Engineering Faculties: - Economics and management of water economy - Economics of use of natural resources and environmental engineering - Economics of Construction - Sectoral Economics Elective courses of economics orientation are also available. After the 3rd year the students of the Faculty of Economics have a professional practice getting acquainted with the basics and specifics of the Economics in an enterprise. Members of the staff supervise the course and diploma projects. To enhance the educational process a special office equipped with modern PCs is functioning in the department, some special teaching software has been written and other software purchased. The staff of the department participated in preparation of the State academic standards for tertiary institutions on the subjects taught. In 1959 Professor D.T. Zuzik published the first textbook in the country for tertiary institutions "Economics of water economy", which was republished in 1966 and 1973. In 1980 it was translated into Chinese and Vietnamese languages. A similar textbook for the Technical institutions was published in 1964, 1970 and 1982. In 1972 D.T. Zuzik and V.E. Vedenyapin published "Practicum on Economics of water economy". Overall members of the staff have published 9 textbooks, more than 20 instructional guidelines and other teaching aids. |
