Eighteen subjects reflecting construction of building and melioration structures are taught in the department.   The specialization of the lecturers in construction is as follows: Prof. G.P. Achkasov -hydro-melioration structures; Prof. E.S. Ivanov - hydro-technical structures and water supply systems; Prof. V.I. Smetanin - utilization and recycling of solid waste; Prof. V.G. Yasinetskii - engineering protection of the environment; Docent E.I. Zubkov - hydro-melioration systems; Docent E.B. Fonsov - environmentally sound structures; Docent T.I. Shevchenko - Economics of Construction.
