Research of the department covers the following areas:
 
1. Research, development and improvement of construction of buildings and structures for agricultural and water-economy purposes from monolithic and armored concrete. Supervisor - Prof. V.B Semenov
2. Research, development and improvement of light metal structures of industrial and auxiliary buildings. Supervisor - Prof. Yu. M. Dukarsky
3. Research, development and improvement of wooden and plastic structures of industrial and public buildings. Supervisor - Prof. F.V. Rass
4. Development and improvement of environmental purposes buildings and structures. Architectural and Building Ecology. Supervisor - Prof. A.N. Tetior
5. Methodology of experimental research. Experimental evaluations of carrying capacity of structures. Supervisor - Docent O.L. Bandin
 
For their successes members of the staff were awarded 12 medals.
 
Main results of the research are regularly reported in various All-Russia and International conferences.
