Postgraduate Studies
 
The department conducts preparation of postgraduate qualifications on two orientations. Specialty 05.23.01 - "Construction of buildings and structures" and Specialty 05.23.07 - "Hydrotechnical construction".
 
From the year 2000 onwards three PhD dissertations were successfully presented by the department:
 
1. Engineer Racipirivu de Russel: "Deformation model of stressed armored concrete structures under the effect of bending moments", Specialty 05.23.01, Supervisor Prof. V.B Semenov
2. Engineer N. G. Smirnova: "Research of the stress state near the cracks of mass hydrotechnical structures using the boundary-element method", Specialty 05.23.07. Supervisor Prof. M. I. Frolov (2001).
3. Engineer A. N. Klyuev: "Modified water-abrasion resistant concrete in water engineering", Specialty 05.23.07. Supervisor Prof. V.B Semenov
 
Currently seven PhD and three MSc students are studying in the department. Two members of the staff also work on their PhD theses.
