I. Application package for hydraulic calculations Professor, DSc В.М. V.M. Alyshev has designed a software package for the problems of Hydraulics of canals, some hydrotechnical structures and movement of ground waters. The package consists of EXCEL spreadsheets and MATHCAD PRO. The programs can be divided into six groups. 1. Typical tables and graphs Q=f(h), Q=f(b) and Q=f(p), typical programs for the computation of homogeneous movement in canals with trapezoidal, rectangular, triangular and parabolic cross-sections. For trapezoidal cross-section two cases are presented: i) computations with Shezi formula and ii) computations using I.I. Agroskin method modified by author. To determine h, b, p, R, B, V and other characteristics a simple iteration method are used. 2. Calculations of varied flow in canals with trapezoidal, rectangular, triangular and parabolic cross-sections for х=2, 3 and 4, and using numerical methods with computation of F(h) from the mean depth (EXCEL), with computation of the integral using Romberg's method (MATHCAD)... 3. Typical programs for the computation of conjugated depths and hydraulic hammer in trapezoidal, parabolic and other cross-sections… 4. Typical programs for the computation of compressed and conjugated depth… 5. Typical programs for the computation of rapid flow and gradients. 6. Typical programs for the computation of the movement of ground waters. II. Programs for testing the students' knowledge (by Docent, Dr. I.E. Kozyr') in: - Hydrostatics; - Hydrodynamics; - Flow in open channels; - Hydraulic jump; and more |
