Main orientations and specialties

In the department of Hydraulics the students study subjects that help a future Engineer to obtain knowledge in the area of hydraulic calculations of hydrotechnical structures, pipelines, river-beds and melioration systems, river-bed processes.   The staff of the department conduct lectures in all Faculties of the University, for all specialties.   The testing of the knowledge of students during the semester is performed by conducting writing tests and using special software. The programs were developed by the Docent of the department Dr. I.E. Kozyr'.   Course and diploma assignments are done by undergraduate and graduate students on computers using standard programs and software developed by Professor, DSc V.M. Alyshev.   There is also a laboratory in the department used for used for research and educational purposes by students and staff of the department.   Programs:   The staff of the department has developed programs on the following subjects:   1. "Hydraulics" for the students of specialties: - "Engineering systems of agricultural water supply, irrigation and water removal; - "Complex use of water resources"; - "Melioration, recultivation and protection of lands"; - "Sustainable engineering of territories".   2. "Hydraulics and hydro-pneumatic drives" in the following specialist areas: - "Service and technical exploitation of transport and technological machines and equipment in water economy"; - "Machines and equipment of environmental engineering and protection of environment".   3. "Foundations of Fluid Mechanics" in the following specialist areas: - "Economics and management in a water economy enterprise"; - " Economics and management in a nature use enterprise".   4. "Foundations of Water Physics" for the students of specialty: - "Hydrotechnical construction"
