The department "Machines for Melioration and Constructions" conducts lectures on the following subjects: Details of machines, Cranes, Building machines, Melioration machines, Basics of experimental research and others.   

   After the third year the students of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty have an educational practice which takes place in the experimental field of the University near the city of Kalyazin. During the practice the students learn to use, service and repair the main types of building and melioration machinery. After the practice the students obtain the qualification of tractor driver and mechanic of melioration and building machines.

  The department also conducts post-graduate and post-doctorate studies. Currently the academic staff of the department supervises the work of five PhD and one MSc students. The department has a Construction Bureau which performs production design of Melioration and building machines.
