Department of Information Technology and Applied Mathematics

   
Student research in the department is conducted in two directions: programming in Delphi and mathematical modeling of problems in Economics. Every year in the Student Conference a section of IT is functioning and the students report the results of their research (8-12 papers).
 
One of the interesting papers presented lately was given by students A.N. Svetlova and E.A. Fedorova: "Development of a procedure for solving a system of linear equations using the inverse matrix method".
 
Very interesting was also the paper by student A. Yu. Rutnikov "Calculation and optimization of a system of water supply and distribution".
 
M.N. Sitnikov of the Faculty of Economics presented a paper on using mathematical modeling for the optimal distribution of water resources in a river-basin.
